This personalised water bottle is a 500 ml insulated flask made from recycled stainless steel, engraved with the name, date or message you choose. There are nine colours and 17 fonts to pick from, and your message can run up to 100 characters. The engraving is included in the €39.90 price, and delivery within Finland is free.

It works as a thermos for hot drinks and as a water bottle for cold ones, so it travels with the person you give it to — to the office, the gym, the trail and everything in between.

The body is 90% recycled stainless steel, so the bottle saves resources before it is ever wrapped. Double-wall vacuum insulation keeps hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold for hours, and the leak-proof lid means it can go in a bag without a second thought.

Choose your message, font and colour

Write a name, a nickname, a date or a short greeting — up to 100 characters. There are 17 fonts, from flowing script to clean sans-serif, and you see the engraving in the live preview before you order. A short message reads most clearly on the bottle.

The colours are black, white, red, orange, green, blue, navy, copper and matte silver. The engraving is included in the price in every colour.

Technical details

Looking after it

Warm water, a drop of washing-up liquid and a soft brush is all it needs. Keep it out of the dishwasher and away from scouring pads — heat and abrasives are what dull a steel finish over time, and the engraving sits in that finish. Leave the lid off to dry so nothing gets trapped inside. No microwave, no freezer.

Why the engraving does not wear off

The text is not printed on and it is not a sticker, so there is nothing to peel. The engraving goes into the surface itself and comes out in the steel’s own colour rather than a painted-on white. Washing will not lift it, sunlight will not fade it, and years of daily use will not rub it away — it lasts exactly as long as the bottle does.

How many characters fit on the bottle?

Your message can be up to 100 characters. A short message reads most clearly — three words or fewer works best. You can see exactly how it will look in the live preview before adding the bottle to your cart.

Can I get a water bottle engraved near me in Helsinki or Espoo?

Yes. Every bottle is engraved in our own workshop in Espoo, so an order from the Helsinki region never leaves the area before it reaches you. There is also a taxi delivery option in the capital region that brings the gift to the door the same evening — you will see the delivery areas, the cut-off time and the price at checkout. Everywhere else in Finland, delivery to a pickup point is free.

What should I engrave on a water bottle?

Most people choose a name, initials, an important date or a short greeting. A name and date are written in the form Aurora — 12.8.2019. A heart symbol (♥) and a middle dot (·) cannot be engraved, so use a dash instead.

What makes a personalized gift different?

It cannot be bought for anyone else. A mass-produced gift can be returned to a shelf; a personalized water bottle with someone’s name on it only fits one person. That is also why it stays in use instead of being put away in a cupboard.

How quickly is the bottle delivered?

We engrave your bottle and hand it to the carrier within 1–3 business days. Delivery is free anywhere in Finland to your nearest pickup point.

How is the bottle packaged?

The bottle arrives in its own box, so it can be given as it is. The lid carries the Hei Aurora engraving.

Is this bottle dishwasher safe?

No. Hand wash it with warm water and a mild detergent. Dishwashers and abrasive scourers wear down both the surface and the engraving.

Will the engraving fade in the wash or in the sun?

No. The engraving is a permanent part of the bottle’s surface — it will not wear off in the wash, fade in the sun or come away in normal use.

Who is this bottle not for?

It is not the right choice if you want something you can put in the dishwasher, or if you need a gift the same day outside the Helsinki region. A personalised product also has no 14-day right of withdrawal, so check your message carefully before ordering.

Can I order engraved water bottles as corporate gifts?

Can I return a personalised product?

Not under the usual 14-day right of withdrawal. Because the bottle is made for you with your own message, the Finnish Consumer Protection Act (Kuluttajansuojalaki 6:16 §) excludes it. That only covers changing your mind, though — anything that goes wrong on our side is always ours to put right, as the next answer explains.

What if my bottle arrives with a defect?

Then it is on us. If there is a manufacturing or paint defect, the engraving does not match your order, or the bottle was damaged in transit, we will repair it, send a new bottle or refund the purchase price — and we pay for the return shipping. Email first with your order number and a photo so we can agree on how to send it back. Normal wear and damage from use against the care instructions, such as the dishwasher, are not covered.
